A.3. MISE

The Mennonite Initiative for Solar Energy (MISE) is a project of MCCO’s Creation Care program.

Its purpose is to develop and provide resources that increase the capacity of constituents to live sustainably through:

• raising energy consumption questions
• connecting constituents with resources on solar energy
• mobilizing churches to adopt solar energy
• fostering relationships to share ideas on caring for creation.

One of the goals of the MISE program is to explore these connections in hopes of fostering creative solutions that integrate environmental sustainability with love of neighbour.

Rather than going it alone, MISE will empower many people to transition to sustainable power sources en masse.

There is strength in community wisdom, and each member of the church can contribute their ideas and expertise to the MISE program.

Together, we can build a sustainable future so all God’s people and creation can flourish.
